
Our client is in the business of manufacturing different
types of garment labels. These labels are either manufactured
in-house or outsourced to other vendors depending upon the
type of label ordered. The entire process (pre sales, approval,
order and dispatch) till now was manual - a series of paper
forms were being used for capturing data across the supply
chain. These forms were then either faxed or snail-mailed
which lead to a considerable time lag and had associated costs.
Moreover, in the absence of an inventory tracking system certain
items in the inventory were overstocked while some other fell
short thus increasing costs.
